Wondering what to watch in the coming months? Sophie B has you covered.
1. A Series Of Unfortunate Events (season 1) – Arrived on Netflix Jan 13th-A modern take on the books written by Lemony Snicket and the movie directed by Brad Silberling. The eagerly anticipated Netflix series sees Neil Patrick Harris (you’ll probably recognise him from How I Met Your Mother) take on the role of ‘Count Olaf’, who takes in The Baudelaire children in order to get his hands on their inheritance.
2. Taboo – BBC1
If you like a bit of Tom Hardy head over to BBC 1 for a brand new series, described by The Radio Times as “brilliantly grim viewing for Saturday nights”. A historical drama in which James Keziah Delaney (Hardy) returns to London from Africa and is encircled by conspiracy, murder and betrayal.
3. First Dates Hotel – Channel 4
Singletons look to find love at the First Dates Hotel in the South of France. A new take on the old First Dates restaurant, the show is as heart wrenching as ever with last week’s episode leaving viewers in tears as dater revealed how her previous husband was murdered before her eyes. Trust me there are some happier episodes and always the possibility of Love!
4. The OA – Netflix
American sci-fi, mystery drama. Whilst having not watched the series myself, it has had rave reviews and it appears fans of Stranger Things are all liking this series just as much.
5. Silent Witness – BBC 1
If you’re into crime drama this is the one for you and the best part is you don’t even have to have tuned in right from the start. Each case covers two episodes of murder, secrets and lots of crime stopping action, meaning you’ll never get bored.
